Sorry, but every win CU gets helps us! That being said, we have more wins in Chapel Hill than Clemson has and we've been out of the conference for 50 years, put that in your ACC pipe and smoke it!

It was almost an ideal situation last night. Clemson got up big, they were fired up. UNC stormed back (with the help of the refs which is always fun to watch Clemson people react to that) but then fell short. I wish UNC could’ve pulled off the comeback.

Y’all can turn in your cards now. No team takes priority in losing over clemson.
Carolina and clemmons are on the lines of hatfields and McCoys. Bitter and hotly contested.

To those who were around, North Carolina in particular, ncs, Duke, and Maryland to a very slightly less degree, are America versus Islamic terrorists. With impunity and intentions bad enough to make a honey badger shite itself. Clemmons is like family in comparison.

Consider if we were both in the same league.

And sadly, the men have not played the holes in either Cola or Chapel Hell since we left the league almost 53 years ago.

I watched the end of their game and was pulling for Clempson to win. Correction: I was pulling for UnCarolina to lose. If the streak of Clempson having NEVER won in Chapel Hill were still ongoing, I'd have wanted them to lose because that was funny as hell. This was one of those rare instances where I actually wanted the Tigers to win.

I lost all respect for UnCarolina several years ago when they weaseled their way out of NCAA trouble with the fake classes scandal. To me, a degree from their school is worthless, based on their own admission.

It's hard to believe you're a real Gamecock fan if one of your first posts on this forum is stating you're happy that clemson won a game.

Clemson winning a game is NEVER a good thing.
In this case it is. Helps SOS just a bit. I hate Clemson, but once we lost to them, every win they have will help out tourney numbers.

The impact of this is nowhere near enough to pull for Clemson. If we were on the bubble, maybe if the numbers were extremely significant. Even then, people look at the numbers and make a decision, so not black and white enough for me to say pulling for Clemson to win is a good thing as it still lies in human decision. The best I can do is know the only plus side (silver lining) of them winning is that it might help us. This falls in line with what you stated. But that’s way different than pulling for them to win.

I don’t know that any Gamecock fan that could pull for Clemson has ever experienced the true depth of what it is to be a Gamecock. Not criticizing. I just don’t know that they’ve truly encountered Clemson at its’ worst. There are simply too many Clemson a-holes that have given so much grief to Gamecocks over their lifetime for anyone who understands that to turn around and pull for Clemson. In anything. I personally hope Clemson loses everything, even in the annual concrete canoe competition.

I've rethought this op. I think your mama should put close pins on your lips and leave them there all day to teach you the error of your ways. Nothing short of a clemmer win ensuring a national championship for us justifies a clemmmer win in anything.

We've got plenty of other good wins that will balance that loss out. I want Clemson to lose every game they play the rest of the season, preferably by as many points as possible.

It's not that you're pulling for Clemron, but you're okay if a Tater victory in the designated sport helps us out somewhat with tournament seeding or some such. Paraphrasing Fried Chicken.
