I was trying to think who was the last big man that was better. Sindarius was amazing but what big man had the skill set like CMB? Maybe Silva?best player we've had since Thornwell imo

Carter doesn't play for Carolina tho....and the 1 year he did was nowhere near as good as ThornwellI don't know about that, with how well Devin Carter is laying for Providence. However, CMB is going to be a force to reckon with.
I got to see the team in person for the first time today. CMB is as advertised. That block was so good.
as much as Silva improved over the years and turned himself into a very good player I think right now 12 games in CMB is already a better player...he's "IT" as the kids say...and to answer your question I cant think of anybody better than what I see from CMB...Rolondo Blackman???I was trying to think who was the last big man that was better. He was certainly a black man but that wasn't his name. He was great on defense but wasn't nearly as good as CMB on offense.as much as Silva improved over the years and turned himself into a very good player I think right now 12 games in CMB is already a better player...he's "IT" as the kids say...and to answer your question I cant think of anybody better than what I see from CMB...Rolondo Blackman???
And Carter hadn’t developed while he was here either. He was an average player here.Carter doesn't play for Carolina tho....and the 1 year he did was nowhere near as good as Thornwell
true but you saw the potential....of all the players that left I hated losing him the mostAnd Carter hadn’t developed while he was here either. He was an average player here.
We’d have won the Clemson game at least!Imagine how good we could’ve been early on had he not missed time and had to recover from mono. He was the big story out of preseason and now we understand why.
That’s the one I think about the most. That was his first game back. He got pushed around a bit down low. Don’t think he was full strength and the team was adjusting a bit. We’d have won the Clemson game at least!
And he sure wasn’t as good as a freshman than CMBCarter doesn't play for Carolina tho....and the 1 year he did was nowhere near as good as Thornwell
From what I understand he can absolutely stroke the three, but has not been as effective due to the mono he had earlier in the year. Had a conversation with a gentleman Saturday during the game and we were both pretty much on the wavelength that with his potential for development he could very well be one of the best guys underneath in 5 decades.CMB doesn`t seem like he`s a very good shooter but, other than free throws(made all today), but when he shoots the ball usually goes through the hoop! Of course many are close in but he seems to have a way of making the shots look easier than they are. He`s a force on defense and the boards too. Will never understand how he blocked the shot of the 7`5"Ole Miss guy. He and Mack were outstanding today.
They were reports over the summer that he could shoot the ball out to the 3 point line, but I haven't seen that yet. We have had players that were more talented. Heck, GG was more talented, but CMB's basketball IQ and instincts for the game are more advanced than most players his age. That is why CMB always seems to either find himself wide open at the hoop or at an angle to his defender where he can easily finish. His shot is easily fixable. Sort of reminds me of PJ Dozier's. Good arc on the shot, but it has no rotation. Therefore, he is not going to get shooter's rolls unless he fixes that or gets so many reps on his shot that it becomes deadly accurate. I don't think we should get too excited yet. CMB probably was not on many scouting reports of teams going into the season. Let's see how he progresses after becoming the primary focus of opposing teams' scouting reports.CMB doesn`t seem like he`s a very good shooter but, other than free throws(made all today), but when he shoots the ball usually goes through the hoop! I can see why people put a Barkley type label on him. He definitely has played taller than he is. He has deceptive hops for a big guy. its his IQ on where to be in the floor which is really impressive. He's able to maximize his opportunities. It accentuates is athletic abilities.CMB doesn`t seem like he`s a very good shooter but, other than free throws(made all today), but when he shoots the ball usually goes through the hoop! Some of mentioned him leaving for a better NIL deal. It's possible he leaves for the NBA at the end of the year. He's not ready but stranger things have happened. If he never got sick, he’ll be linked to leaving for the NBA sooner. He’s most likely the best player on the team.
The thought process of most fans, especially fans of College Basketball, is far different than an NBA scout. If a player has a combination of athleticism, Ability to guard a defined position, and one elite NBA skill (Rebounding, Defending, Ability to Shoot), then he will be an NBA Player. They don't care if he averaged 5 Points a Game in College. Some of mentioned him leaving for a better NIL deal. It's possible he leaves for the NBA at the end of the year.
