It may appear selfish to you, but this could be life changing money to some of these kids. They would be stupid to turn it down. No rules against transferring at least once. If you can put a couple hundred thousand dollars extra in your pocket for doing the same thing (Go to school, practice, play), who is not doing that?If they all would agree not to take kids from the portal. Would be a couple rough years but would get things back to normal. Of course they would all be to greedy to do it but it would work. Would be alot of selfish kids learning a valuable lesson
It's life changing money for anyone. Most college graduates are in debt for the next 20 years and it takes longer than that to earn a fraction of the amounts of money we're talking about. Nobody "needs" that.It may appear selfish to you, but this could be life changing money to some of these kids. They would be stupid to turn it down. No rules against transferring at least once. These kids aren’t in debt when they graduate. Unless they are a walk on, they all have free rides through college at the D1 level. It's life changing money for anyone. I like the grad transfer rule though.Just allowing 1 transfer then after any transfer after that you'd have to sit out a year like it used to be would do wonders.
Doesn't matter. If you told someone here is $250,000 extra to do the same job that you are already doing, 99% of the people being asked are going to ultimately take that money. Don't believe me? Look all the ruckus that was called by LIV Golf. Those guys, for the most part had money, they took more. These kids aren’t in debt when they graduate. Back to the original post.... if coaches stopped going to the portal it would stop all of this!Doesn't matter. You can barely get coaches to agree on the rules of the actual game let alone this. Further, there is a whole lot of legal liability in attempting to collude in that fashion.Back to the original post.... if coaches stopped going to the portal it would stop all of this!
Or that it doesn't matter how much money you make, you will never accumulate wealth until you learn to live on less than you make. I have known plenty of people who are in the top 1% or 2% of earners who were still living "paycheck-to-paycheck." I hope these kids are getting good financial advice from those around them, but I suspect the vast majority are not. What's "life changing" money? $1 mil...$2 mil? Michael Oher made many more millions. Now he's suing for millions. If I could leap back in time to tell my 21 year-old self one thing and one thing only, it would be: you don't need as much money as you think to be happy.

Coaches universally decry the current situation....but none of them will stop. We’re witnessing the Wild West of NIL right now; but it’ll get some law and order. Has to. When the chaos affects a University’s bottom line things will change
That is not what I said. What I said was clear. Anyone who acts like this is about staying out of debt is a fool.Doesn't matter.
