Cocoa Beach People

A little while back I posted that we’re heading to Disney but my wife and I want to make a one day pit stop on the way back to Cocoa Beach 🏖.

One of the posters (I think @PSU87 ) said they were from there.

Well the time is finally almost here and I’m wondering if Cocoa Beach 🏝 is in any condition to stop .

We would be there on Friday October 21st and would be staying at the Hampton Inn.

If you get there, try to attend game viewing with the space coast alumni club. I was there for the Auburn game. It is a very friendly and enthusiastic group.

I haven't been up there since Ian. I know they had flooding. Wind damage was minimal. I always still go to places after events like that and try to support the local businesses if I can. I go out to lunch or dinner etc and spend some money to support the family run businesses.

It was me.

Very strange. I went to the beach the day after Ian and it looked fine. Went yesterday and we had serious beach erosion. High tide was all the way up to the stairs.

Otherwise mostly intact in this area. Up Titusville way they had it worse. Other than some beach erosion Cocoa Beach is fine.

Otherwise mostly intact in this area. Up Titusville way they had it worse. Other than some beach erosion Cocoa Beach is fine.

We have about a 4 foot ledge here in Delray Beach. They are grading and leveling it. Other than a tornado from Ian up the street that tore up some condo's we are good.

Sorry....I'm not familiar. Although I live just on the other side of Patrick Space Force Base from Cocoa Beach, I don't get up there much. I have a coworker that lives there....let me get some recommendations from him on Monday.

Restaurants:
The Fat Snook at the South end if Cocoa Beach. Neither of us have ever been but we've both heard nothing but good things.
Florida Seafood Bar and Grille...right on the water
Zarello's for Italian
Nosh for Asian
Any of the Restaurants up at Port Canaveral on the water to watch the ships and boats go by.
