No, first I’ve heard of it…..I can still hear Nolan’s fastball hitting the mitt. Foul balls bouncing off cars.
Fat Jack Hamilton smoking Winston’s in the bullpen ( imagine a young kid seeing major leaguers & witnessing that😳

Jim Ed Rice having a baker’s dozen of major league scouts at our game.
And most amazing, playing on that same field🤗

Played on it as well. Pitched against Jim. NASA is still tracking a ball he hit off me in Anderson. I struck him out swinging first at bat. Second AB, he got me.

It covers the Nolan Ryan story starting his professional career with the Greenville Mets in 1966. Also, covers the 1958 game about the Yankees playing Philadelphia Phillies, I saw that game in person. A guy from Greenville wrote the book, or at least I think he is from Greenville.

Or you play for Jerry Knight? In a league can’t recall, tournament was in Alabama.
Long shot, yer last name start with a C? A left hander, played for either Berra, carolina or Parker?

The Hawk…R.I.P. to him, also. Barney as well as Marvin King…Chestnut Hills guys!! Maret playing OL at Clemson. His brothers were terrific athletes, also!!
