If they do away with the Diamond Girl program I will be pissed. Is there any proof that Cohen is wanting to do this? Most of those girls are hot and anybody that would want to get rid of them is a ***. A *@!%@#@ ***
They also run the souvenir stand. So if they did away with it we will pay someone to do that? I maybe dont know exactly what goes into it but seems to me that free labor to be bat girls isn't a bad thing. If there is some unknown cost to the program moneywise I don't know please someone say something.

When did Cohen say that he was going to scrap the Diamond Girls and why? They do serve a purpose, and for the record, I would much rather check out a college chick wearing anything- cheerleader skirt, shorts, thong, etc. than a black lab, but to each his own.
While it is ridiculous to say that a coaches qualification for being the head coach is "to keep the Diamond Girls program running", it is equally ridiculous to do away with them. They are as much a part of MSU baseball as the LFL. I just kind of assumed that Cohen, or someone else, like the new baseball coordinator position, or whatever the new position is called that Byrne is supposedly creating is called, would keep the program going- and possibly even enhance the program.
I just don't believe this without a link or something.

didn't have bat girls doesn't mean that we won't. They also don't have a LFL either, and I doubt that Cohen would do away with that to. And the Diamond Girls do travel to some of the games at least. I sat by them at the Governor's Cup and I also have seen them sitting in the stands at LSU on several occasions.
Let me say this, if the Diamond Girls are done away with, and I don't think that they will, I will miss them. The two games that I went to, I thought that they were exceptionally nice to me. That's false. I partied with them a few years ago after they were done with their responsibilities during the Bama series in T-town.
I know a lot of those girls and they are God fearing salt of the earth. Most of them just love Mississippi State baseball. Be a gentleman and show some respect.
the Diamond Girls program is a unique way to reach out to wealthy or respected allumini. Getting rid of this program would be a tough sell to alot of people but the fact that a dog preforms this job at some parks is hard to fight with. For those of you that are calling these girls shall we say "loose", don't be angry or bitter just because they wouldn't give you the time of day when you where around.</p>

I'm not sure what the ones at Ole Miss are like, or even what the ones here used to be like, but "slutty" isn't really a stereotype you'd associate with these girls- ours are mostly sorority, 4.0, overachiever types. I know several, and I'm not going to tell you they're all virgins, but a bunch are the real goody-goody type.
Our diamond girls travel. They were in the dugout at Kentucky. There are some girls with questionable morals on the squad, but there are some very classy girls as well.</p>
