How does LSU only drop five spots after losing to a team with a losing record? But the worse is Clemson only dropping one? The little guy doesn't have a chance.

Because clemson lost a close one to a better team.

Yeah, I saw on Twitter someone bemoaning that UT fell five spots after losing to us while Clemson only fell one spot. The difference, of course, is the difference between losing by 25 points and losing by 1 point.

Not to mention when UT lost to us, they lost a "fluke" game, but when Clemson lost to us, the narrative had changed to "Clemson lost to a good team."

Well, yeah, the narrative changes as the season goes on. We beat UT by scoring 63 points a week after not scoring a single offensive point against a trash Florida defense, and not even threatening to score. Clemson losing to us by one point the week after we annihilated another top 10 team didn't look quite so bad for them.

Put Carolina in the Taters slot and they would have dropped 11 to 15 spots
