If we are going with the Premier League motif, would there hypothetically be relegation after each season of the bottom feeders?

A relegation battle certainly makes things more interesting for the teams who are having otherwise drab seasons.

Well, what Mandel and Smith may be proposing is pretty much where college football is headed based on what Jack Swarbrick said in a recent interview.

I can’t see it with this group of schools. There’s too much money at risk in that scenario. You try telling Penn State that their $8 million coach and huge football cost structure will go under funded for a year (or longer) in the second tier.
