this team is headed in the right direction and is growing every week.
Quite a turnaround from early in the season as the offense has grown with Sanders and the defense has been good from the start but is now killing it.
There are so many good players on that defense and the depth is better than I've ever seen at Carolina.

I deleted this site a couple of weeks ago because of all the negative comments. Fire Beamer, Bench Sellers etc.

To hear the commentators speak of us as a top 12 team speaks volumes.
Tells me that we are being compared favorably with usually excellent SEC teams with two losses that borderline suck this year. Georgia is the prime example and either Alabama or LSU will join them tonight.

You my man have a way with backhanded compliments, but to each their own.
The current goal until this format changes is to be top 12.
With the tilt of power going to the direction of the BIG and SEC, it will only be a matter of time before a 3 loss team makes the playoffs.
The league is as deep this year as it has been in recent memory.

It's just as well you move on. You don't understand the purpose of this board, which prevents you from finding satisfaction here. Have a great life, though.

I'm the Prince of Perversity at the Pinnacle of my Prowess. :ROFLMAO: The depth of the league lies in several pretty good but flawed teams. There is no greatness in the league this year - no Daddy Rabb.

Do you see greatness anywhere? The SEC has been the benchmark. So if it’s not here is it in any other conference this year? I don’t see it personally.
Love the parity this year, especially being the first year of the expanded playoff
Also, Enough has been said of the expanded SEC blueprint as further proof that South Carolina will never be able to compete for a championship.
heard enough during the Spurrier years that we only won because other teams were down.
To be included in the conversation, especially with our preseason outlook, should be celebrated and a sign that yes it can be done here.

I think it's good for conferences to have one or two great teams as flag bearers. Instead of a bunch of similar teams bunched up somewhere in the middle.

When it is truly "done", you won't have to run me down to get me to admit it. We've flirted with "done" before. I'm not going to be falsely beguiled again. And too much parity in a league only signals mediocrity.

Mediocre is relative. Mediocre to the past? Possibly. Mediocre in the present? Hardly. Certain teams aren’t as dominant as they were the past decade, but relative with the rest of the country the strength still belongs to the SEC for the most part. Mediocre isn’t a term that I would use to label our conference nor its ability to present a champion from the teams that ultimately get selected.

Mediocre is mediocre. All teams in the FBS play 12 regular season games. You are what your record says you are.

If we or other SEC members wind up with three losses, we'll see what kind of company that puts us in. The B1G still has two undefeated teams but one of those plays at Ohio State in two weeks.

Our league doesn't have any undefeated teams left to play each other this deep into the season. That's a black mark and parity does not connote excellence. Of course, we'll get to look at it again after all games have been played - rivalry games, bowl games, and playoffs.

The SEC might be as good as ever top to bottom in 2024. MSST, UK, and Auburn are about the only ‘sure win’ teams this season. Vandy is already bowl eligible. Tell me where an easy out SEC game exists? UF and OK maybe should be added as easier opponents.
