I was just looking at the teams from each conference who are bowl eligible. This kinda shows which conferences don't have very many "off" weeks. ACC was the surprise to me. Thought they were weaker this year with Clemson down.

1. SEC - 13 out of 14 eligible (93%)
2. ACC - 10 out of 14 eligible (71%)
3. Big 12 - 7 out of 10 (70%)
4. MWC - 8 out of 12 (67%)
Tie MAC - 8 out of 12 (67%)
6. Big 10 - 9 out of 14 (64%)
Tie AAC - 7 out of 11 (64%)
8. Indy - 4 out of 7 (57%)
Tie CUSA - 8 out of 14 (57%)
10. PAC 12 - 6 out of 12 (50%)
11. Sun Belt - 4 out of 10 (40%)

13 out of 14 eligible but how many coaches lost their jobs? Jimbo almost lost his if not for Bummer win. Amazing that one just played in the SEC Championship game while the other is only 2 seasons removed from a NC.

ACC was weak at the top, but fairly balanced/competitive, leading to a lot of eligible teams with not that great of records. Kind of like the SEC was this year outside of Bama and UGa.

It's good for everyone else if Jimbo stays at A&M. Just think how bad of a coach he would be at a school that plays in SEC with mostly 3 stars.
