Welcome Home to the 4 Star PG from North Carolina.
From what I’ve gathered, can score from anywhere on the court. Plays with a ton of confidence.Don’t know much about him. Is he good? Didn’t have a lot of big-time offers.
Rated a 4 star by all the recruiting services. And ranked as the 57th best prospect in the nation by one service and 99th by another. And ranked by one service as the 9th-rated PG in the nation. Very good pick up.
Bball is different than football. The average class is 3-4 guys. We’re in a good position to be excited about him. Big time programs aren’t bc they might only have one spot for a G and they have better options.Just curious why he didn't have any big-time offers. A comparably ranked football recruit would have had offers from all the big name programs. He's from North Carolina and didn't have an offer from any of the big NC schools.
He doesn't have the blue-blood offers, but two offers stand out. College of Charleston and Virginia Tech. If he got offers from Pat Kelsey and Mike Young, it tells me that he is probably disciplined, will take care of the ball, and can shoot it. I see that Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M also offered.Just curious why he didn't have any big-time offers. Obviously, there's no way I can know the answer to your question. But here is what I do KNOW: When ALL FOUR recruiting services agree that this kid is a 4 star, we've got ourselves a PLAYER. Congratulations to Lamont and to us.Just curious why he didn't have any big-time offers. A comparably ranked football recruit would have had offers from all the big name programs. Gotcha.Bball is different than football. The average class is 3-4 guys. We’re in a good position to be excited about him. Big time programs aren’t bc they might only have one spot for a G and they have better options.
It’s also why you don’t see a lot of flips in bball recruiting. Once a guy commits opposing coaches just move on. They don’t have time to waste trying to convince a guy to flip.
That’s odd, seems if you were only recruiting 3-4 players you would have plenty of time to stay on a kid and flip him, but I hope you’re right!Bball is different than football. With all those Gamecock pictures, I think he likes us.This kid is from Hickory. Maybe he can duplicate the magic of Hickory's Jimmy Chitwood and take South Carolina back to the final four

I wasn't one of those doubters. Paris had me at hello. Is it finally becoming obvious to the doubters who smothered this site with negative comments last year about Paris that we have someone leading our mens basketball program who can do BOTH.....recruit AND coach.... and do it well?
