He needs to retire now and write his book "Undefeated - story of the only undefeated African American multiple SEC Head Coach in History"***

Here's a 'what-if' for you.......what if IB had just rolled with Greg Knox in 2018? Similar situation happened with Dabo - he was nothing but a position coach, got promoted to interim, and won the team over so they kept him. Of course, it could have also turned out like Matt Luke.

BUT

What if....he had been able to get a decent OC, and maybe kept Grantham? Could he have hit another gear in recruiting like Dabo did? Let's assume he won big in 2018, like 10-2 or so.....would our idiot fanbase have stuck by him in a down 2019 and 2020?

It's not too far-fetched if you think about it. Dude has proven he can get guys ready to play. Dude is also 58 years old (54 in 2017), and has coached at Auburn, Ole Miss and MSU. He's not some young nimrod whose only job was to recruit.

We would’ve fired Dabo after his 3rd year in 2010 when he went 6-7.
