.....at MSU. Fortunately for you MSU has no progressive vision and LT is still the A.D. for a short while longer. Of course, Byrne may not fall far from the tree either.
And you negative wastes have tripped all over yourselves in predicting your perceived worst-case scenario as a practical inevitability. Here's an idea. For once, just let something happen before you all break out your "We are M-State" sad-sack pity parties and perhaps this board will become, I don't know, readable for a day or two. Bunch of women.
Exactly what in MSU's past leads you to believe we will make an aggressive, forward-thinking hire? Even our successful coaches were either hired on the cheap or hired because nobody else wanted the job.
The best predictor of future events is past results.
never before have we had a job opening that is this appealing. MOST college coaches would leave their job to come to MSU. Hopefully we don't screw this up.
I don't know what's going to happen. But this Polk/LT in cahoots theory surfaced and is already being treated like gospel by some. Why don't we just see what happens?

Doc Fogelsong is leaving because a bunch of leftist, Marxist professors got pissed off that the President of the University was actually making them WORK instead of sitting on their asses making foreign Grad students teach classes or indoctrinating students in hate-America ideology. Fogelsong got enrollment up and the campus looked great a couple of weekends ago when I visited up there, and saw where we got $43 million in endowments.
Guess it's time to bring back Droopy Dog and his Down-Syndrome speaking skills.
