Converstation with Byrne

My brother in Dallas spoke with Greg Byrne today on the phone. He said they had about a 20 minute talk about Baseball, LT, and Fogelburg. My brother said that he did most of the talking and explaining to Greg how LT and mediocrity went hand in hand., and how we hire the next of kin for the job. My brother also said of the 3 major sports we DO have a tradition with baseball and that we need some new and fresh blood infused into the program. His best line to Greg was we need to look further than at the end of the bench for a new coach, and that we need a National Search. Greg assured him that a national search would take place for the new Baseball coach. Said he was very nice and respectful. My brother said he did listen to what he had to say about how we need to upgrade our standards in sports.

It's a disconnect that a lot of MSU fans have. They expect this **** to run on automatic and think that their 100 bucks and football tickets gets you national championships. It barely gets you Independence Bowl if you are lucky

"I won't donate until 'LT, Croom, Stansbury, Polk, etc leaves.'" I really can't argue against that, but how do you expect things to get better if you don't donate?

After sending Greg an email about Polk & his letter to name Raffo the next coach and expecting him to listen to what I had to say and not being a BC member, I felt it was time for me to either put up or shut up, so I put up. I hope more do the same. We need as much financial support as we can get just so we can keep up with Joneses.
