I said what I said! I know Knecht had more points. Cooper was much more efficient, shooting 60% from the floor and 80% from 3. I’ll take our guy 10 out of 10 times!!

Irrelevant. USC > Tenn last night. That's the only thing that matters.
Oh I agree. I see a lot of people giving love to Knecht in the L. Dude scored 31 points on 32 shots. It’s like a QB throwing for 300 yds on 55 pass attempts. Not all that impressive.

Well even the SEC network guys said that if it were not for Knecht then Tenn would have been blown out by alot last night. He was all they had working and he had over half their points. Cooper is just a perfect PG for Paris and this team and is very, very underrated. He is gaining more and more respect from other coaches which may, in the end, have him coaches first team all conference. Knecht is good, no doubt but Cooper makes his team better.

First time I have seen Knecht play so too small of sample size. I think they are very different players. Tenn is certainly a better team with Knecht.

I wouldn't trade Cooper or Mack for anyone in the country. They are the straws that stir the drink. Both are very predictable and rarely have off nights.

Cooper is definitely our team leader and arguably the team MVP to this point.

I dont know about that LOL. Not to discredit Cooper but he has advantage that he plays on a TEAM, with other capable players.

Tenn was a one man team a lot of last night and that one man was Knecht, and they still kept it close, everyone knew, he was going to get it and he still produced.

Both are great players, but their roles certainty differ some given the surrounding parts.

Maybe so for tonight. However, as one of the few on here that follows the NBA more than College sports, Knecht has the brighter future. Knecht can create his own shot. Has a mid-range game, get all the way to the cup, and can shoot from range. Best player in the SEC IMO and easily a Top 15 pick in next year's draft. How this kid was hiding at Northern Colorado for the past two years and a Junior College before that I can't imagine.

Knecht was unreal down the stretch. It was a situation where we knew he was the only player who would be shooting the ball and we still couldn't stop him.

It was a fun but nerve-wracking end. A 9 point lead turned into 7 then 5 then 4 then 3. But Stute who is 67% on the year for FTs went 100% down the stretch.

exactly…..I can figure out why we didn’t foul him at mid court…both times he made those 3’s….concede the 2 FT’s….& we would have been fine. Thank Goodness it worked out.

In theory, this is a great strategy and should work but I've seen more teams screw it up than those that have successfully executed.

I know, it seems simple but teams foul too late (when they are shooting). I have also seen teams foul, make the first free throw, miss the 2nd and then hit a three. All of sudden it's a four point possession.

I think LP has that much confidence in his group. That dude is dripping with swag. He said before the game that we weren’t going to give him cheap, easy points. And he stood on that business until :00.

Yeah. Not in favor either. Never a fan of stopping the clock lengthening the game when you’re nursing a lead like we were.
