Could LaNorris Sellers be QB1 in next year's draft? 'His best tape is better than everybody else's best tape' says Todd McShay

Very long way to go for that one. Nobody would even think him draft worthy based on his first 6 games. He was a different player down the stretch, for sure, but still has some significant deficiencies.

If he has another big leap of improvement in 2025, similar to amount of improvement he showed during 2024, I could see it, if so he will be in the 2026 NFL Draft and the Cutter Woods era, will begin!

Maybe at one time, but his last draft projections did not have Sanders in the first round. Im sure there are other things to pick on him about but to his credit he had moved him out the first round as the process went on

The Ringer's Todd McShay didn't spring too many surprises to open his newest 2025 NFL mock draft.
McShay had the Tennessee Titans taking Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick, and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter went next to the Cleveland Browns. Penn State edge-rusher Abdul Carter, LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell and Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty rounded out the top five.

I dont see mention but he also has another Gamecock being drafted in the 2026 first round at # 11, Nyck Harbor

If both those things, we must be making the playoffs! :)

Of course he also has 6 Clemson guys on the list, I guess they will be in the championship? :(


The 2025 NFL Draft is officially in the books, but the experts are already turning their attention toward next year.
On Monday, NFL Draft expert Todd McShay released the first edition of his way-too-early 2026 mock draft, with some of the biggest names returning to college football next season going near the top.
Among the projections for McShay include six Clemson Tigers going in Round 1, which would tie the record for the most players taken from one school in a single round of one draft in NFL History.
Alabama had the second most players in the mock with four, while the Miami Hurricanes and Ohio State Buckeyes each had three.

There were also some notable players missing from his mock draft, including Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning, who many believe could be the No. 1 overall pick should he come out. That said, the wide consensus is that he will return to school and wait until the 2027 draft to realize his NFL dream.


With that in mind, let's take a look at who McShay has going in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Yes, it is easy to like seeing Sellars and Harbor high in the first round but hard to ignore seeing six Tigers in the first round. That is close to an all time record which I think is one of the Miami teams.

has to exhibit the ability to do a tiny little dump pass to open receiver in the end zone for 2-point conversion to tie the game at AL.

Is it easy to see them high in the first round? Harbor had 375 yards last year.

Sellars played well for half the year, as stated above, and seemed to excel when plays broke down.

Neither screams first round draft pick without major steps forward.

I think Clemson has a good shot at wining the National Championship.Saw a podcast that showed that the team with the most first rounders wins the Nat Ch a fairly high percentage of the time.
If they don’t win it this yr then they likely won’t any time soon.Texas spending a reported 35-45 mil on football NIL alone.
