Could the SEC put NC State and Virginia Tech on the spot? Or even UNC and UVA on the spot?

By offering them now? I don't think Tech and State can wait as the SEC or the B10 could go in and try to swipe UVA/UNC..

I keep monitoring the UNC boards and they are getting nervous about having to go to the B10 and playing football in the late fall in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, OSU...it does not make for easy travel...SEC schools will all be in Southern or Western States (ASU)...

IF Tech and State say no....the SEC commish should state that if you say no, we will go after Arizona State/Arizona or possibly WVU...

Heck if the SEC were smart (I don't want UNC in the SEC), it would go ahead and offer UNC and UVA and let them turn us down so we can for sure go after NCSU and VT cause we know that if UNC/UVA bolt for the B10 those two have now where to go but with maybe the Mountain East Conference...ugh

To be honest, I don't see that scenario playing out, or the strategy of offering schools just so they can decline (as described in the above post)

I can`t see any school saying no to an SEC offer, other than perhaps Notre Dame. I wouldn`t mind adding other teams if they are not named Clemson, UNC or Duke. I can tolerate the other ACC schools even though we had some issues many moons ago. The others don`t have the arrogance the N.C. schools have, in my opinion. Also Clemson backed out of leaving the ACC when they were supposed to follow us. Let them drift away with the ACC leftovers.

Id really like to see two or three ACC teams transfer over to the SEC. FSU, Miami, NC State or even Clemson. More regular season conference games could be added.
