BAAwWW. Straight male friend. solid funny
He did a nice job as host I thought. Writers have a lot of fun with physical hosts. I also loved the ‘Straight Male Friend’ bit - especially the warning that said ‘Three or more straight male friends may lead to a trip to Atlantic City.’
Overall, the cast doesn’t have a ‘star’ like Kate McKinnon anymore (well, Keenan), but the cast is pretty good, especially the women - Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, and Ego Nwodem are standouts.
I am a little surprised Keenan has been there this long. I think Ego will be the next one to depart. She can do more.
Sarah Sherman annoys me.
I think the best part of the show is Weekend Update.
I sometimes get the impression that Che and Jost write each others' jokes and they don't see them until they read them on air.
The openly do it for the finale, but I think they do it during the regular season, too.
They write jokes for each other during the season. For the last show, they don't preview the jokes - which is hilarious.
It seems like Jost is surprised a good bit at some of the punchlines (which usually involve him) throughout the year…like the Dilbert joke about the ‘is it okay to be white’ poll here:
I'm sure this was extra cool for KC native Heidi Gardner - she's been repping the Chiefs since she's been on the show...
