I don't know why, but I was looking back through that dreadful 2019 season. That season personifies William P Muschamp. We had 5 different guys that were the high rusher in games....and that's not necessarily a good thing. We had three different high rushers with 17, 14, & 12 yards.
But I was looking at the App St game in particular. That's probably the stupidest box score I've seen in my life. And looking at it, makes me loath P Muschamp even more. App St had 202 total yards, no passing TDs, and 1 rushing TD. In a game that ended up being a 20-15 loss, Hilinski had 57 pass attempts....FIFTY SEVEN! Rico Dowdle had 14 carries for 9 yards...NINE!! That's an NFL guy going against a G5 defense. For the team, we ran the ball 27 times for 21 yards (including -13 yards for sacks). Just a truly unbelievable game.
Another would have been the 2012 UF game. We were 6-1 ranked #7, UF was 7-0 ranked #2. UF scored 44 points on 183 total yards. I remember the look of disbelief on HBC's face. But that one wasn't near the abject debacle the App St game was.
