included in the top 10 underrated section is note worthy, one must also mention that Ole Miss is in top 10 most overrated list twice (2 out of the top 5 no less). The Hotty Toddy cheer being number 5 and the grove being number 1.

For a small school, its a nice place especially with the new upgrades. But considering they couldn't fill the place up without arrest warrants and quarantine zones, I can't give The Rock many props.

He obviously knows nothing about USM football since Favre played his last game there.

I definitely feel like there's something underwhelming about the Grove and Tennessee's pregame entrance seems overblown. Also, I think his take on Finebaum is right on. I will disagree wth him on one point. While the hotty toddy cheer is juvenile at best, it is impressive when the entire stadium does it right before the game.

I think they were ranking top football stadiums of the South. And, the Rock came in at #10.

#10 in the South. I can't recall the last big game that was won there, and it's atmosphere is lacking, to say the least. Both DWS and VHS can make a better claim to this than could the Rock.

Then again... this show was probably taped in somebody's basement in Aurora, Illinoise.

well he may have been since Favre since he says something about the District which is their tailgate area at the corner of Hardy and 49. and he may actually have seen the turf field and newly closed in endzone. but the funny thing is the "loyal fanbase" comment. that shows he may have been there on a non-football weekend or he simply had someone tell him abou tthe district and the stadium improvements because stating that they have a loyal fanbase isn't exactly accurate.

...which kept the Horned Frogs from winning CUSA and a BCS bowl.

The Rock's atmosphere has actually been pretty good the past few years, and it's a lot better than it was when I was a grad student at USM.

The Grove isn't any different than any other campus tailgating area in the SEC. The only difference is OM gave it a name and hyped it up first. I have seen hot women in the grove. But again, I have seen just as many at other stadiums and tailgates. Not goes on there that doesn't go on at other campuses.

As for The Rock, I always thought it was odd that they built the lower portion of the stadium with only 30 rows and started an upper deck. It is like they tried to give the illusion that it is bigger than what it really is. The atmosphere for the game in '89 was pretty good but it was mostly State fans that added to that atmosphere.

They might have gone to a BCS bowl if they'd beaten USM that year, but they'd have been lucky to do as well as Hawaii did last year.

...just that it isn't anything special. My rebel buddy (and Sports56 Memphis) make it out to be the greatest of college football tailgating.

To be fair. Since we all made the list(s) and I only mentioned USM and OM. Jack was underrated 10-20 years ago......now, not so much.

...because of the trees, but primarily because of what makes Ole Miss different than the rest of the world. The candles and the elaborate table settings and people dressed to the tee; the plantation party atmosphere. It's sort of the best and worst of Mississippi: To the Ole Miss fan, it's southern tradition and gentility. To many, it's the height of pretentiousness and snobbery. To me, it is unique, but not necessarily a great thing.

Growing up in the JWS era, football has never been a social event to me. As a kid, I always wanted to get there to see the team walk through, and we would only tailgate long enough to grab a bite and then get into the stadium an hour or so before kickoff. I wasn't at the game to see family and friends. I was there to watch football. That's just what I am comfortable with. I'm not saying one is right and one is wrong, but I think there is a difference.
