Letter to the editor: Local cable TV lacks SEC coverage</span>

<span class="story_inside">I am disgruntled and dissatisfied that our only local cable company, Cable One, refuses to offer CSS to its customers.</span> <table class="clear" style="margin-top: 15px;" align="left" border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="4"> <tbody> <tr> <td align="center"> <embed src="http://adsys.townnews.com/5168812/creative/enterprise-journal.com/+instory1/106639-1196785141.swf?clickTAG=http://adsys.townnews.com/c99018708/creative/enterprise-journal.com/%2Binstory1/106639-1196785141.swf%3Fr%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.maxwellcomputers.net" quality="high" flashvars="clickTAG=http://adsys.townnews.com/c99018708/creative/enterprise-journal.com/%2Binstory1/106639-1196785141.swf%3Fr%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.maxwellcomputers.net" wmode="opaque" name="106639-1196785141" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" height="600" width="300" allowScriptAccess="never" ></embed>
</td> </tr> </tbody> </table><span class="story_inside">CSS is the primary sports television network that broadcasts many SEC events. For example, the SEC baseball tournament was televised on CSS, but we can't get it through Cable One.
It's frustrating because Jackson, Laurel, Hattiesburg, and many other Mississippi areas do get it on their cable networks. Unfortunately, it's not offered on Direct TV at all - only cable networks. I have written to Cable One asking them why they don't offer it, even at an extra cost, but the company has not responded.
There are only three states that have two SEC Universities: Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi. Therefore, one would think that with two SEC schools, SEC sports would be of great interest to all Mississippians.
Due to our proximity to Baton Rouge, we have LSU fans as well who would like to view CSS. I hope that others will call or write Cable One urging them to make this channel available in our area.
