I didn't see Kingston throw a single pitch, swing a bat (or not swing), or make any of the fielding errors.

Any of that on the players??? asking for a friend.
His record is what it is. It’s not close to good enough. Doesn’t come close to meeting the standard. Everything ultimately is on him. If they play poor defense, it’s his responsibility to fix it. There’s just always way too many problems to blame the players.

I dont like blaming players if I can help it. Poor play should be managed. We were told we had an abundance of pitching and offense to start the season.

Nice comeback win! Not crazy that we gave them life in the 9th. Let’s take the series tomorrow!
I hope they are not settling on Veach as the closer. He was shaky today at best pitching the 9th. Faced 7 batters and gave up 2 runs, 2 hits, and 2 walks. I know it is early in the season but I don't get the feeling that he has the "it" factor to be a closer. Cade Austin seems to me to be the better choice for that role based on current stats and mound presence. Still a work in progress and if it is Veach then more power to him! But what do I know.....I never made it past little league.

I really hope Veach settles down and gets better. He could be a great closer if he does. His changup is a nasty confusing addition for that situation. But I hear ya, work in progress. Hope he learned a lot yesterday.

Anyone know why Hornung is the DH? Nothing against the young man but it sure looks like there are better options at this point. French has been better at the plate. So has Brasswell.

Agreed about French. Shocked the heck out of me how well he looked bunting the other day. Typically a batter that can bunt that well can see and hit the ball well. As much as I like Wimmer in the two spot, I'd seriously consider leading off with Wimmer (guy gets on base) and bat French in the two spot.
As for Braswell, I keep waiting for him to settle down but he keeps amping up to new levels. Idk if he will ever calm down. Cant be antsy out there

Agreed, Bras is a wild card, but amazing athlete and so quick with the bat. He needs to continue to get some innings whenever possible.

He's got a big swing. Probably too big. Until he compacts it a bit, changes in pitch speeds will give him trouble imo. If he doesnt do that now, he will be forced to at the next level. If he does do it now, I think his draft status will increase.
