Good for him. Seriously. Gotta be the highest paid OC in HS history with the Florida money added in.

Good for him. Everything above high school football is ruined and at least at this level MOST of the kids are still amateurs.

Florida is still paying him 2 Million a year for the next 5-6 years. He will be aight.

Dan got paid 6 million within 30 days of firing and gets 1 million a year for 6 years. He was making 7.6 million a season.

13.6 million in 2021 with a 5-6 record was his best season ever**

Looks like the first article was incorrect; Dan will not be the OC

“The rumors that Dan Mullen will be the new offensive coordinator at Lake Oconee Academy are false,” McCurley tweeted. “I have confirmed that with multiple school officials this morning. However, he does reside in Greensboro, and his son toured the school this week. But he will not coaching.”

I live in the area. The school (Lake Oconee Academy) is a charter school with lottery admittance. If he is on the coaching staff, I think his kids can enroll without entering the lottery. So, he could just be taking the job so his kids can enroll.

Considering some of the meh coaches in the USFL, I was surprised he did not get an OC or HC gig with them.
You can take away 2 things from this:
1. His ******* attitude prevented an offer, or
2. He’d rather mooch off of UF than find a real job.
I think probably a combo.

Nice area. Not a bad spot if you wanted to or had to leave Florida. He trying to get close to uga for an eventual Analyst spot for Kirby?

I think he's had a house at Lake Oconee for a long time. Dating back to when he was at State. He'll lay low for a year, do some TV analysis, and probably take a OC job next year somewhere.

Yep… if I were him I’d be doing nothing too. He’s made a pile of money and had a good run. I’m sure if he wants to be a head coach again one day he can do that.

Don't blame him. If I had that kind of money coaching could kiss my *** for a year or two or three
