If Western Kentucky doesn't make the Sweet 16, Horn is NOT the new coach at South Carolina...

I say Buy.

Also, this seems like a weird provision for a buyout...

The report also states that a buyout clause exists for $157,000 per each year left on the deal as well as a provision that Horn's new school play four games against Western Kentucky

I never understood the rationale behind hiring a coach at a small school that makes a run to the sweet sixteen as a result of some good luck.

So if the white guy doesnt hit the 30 footer in overtime, does he not get the job? Just seems like a stupid way to hire a coach.

He took that job while the ink is still drying on the Sweet 16 T-shirts. Last season, people (a vocal minority) were ready for him to hit the road due to no NCAA Tourney appearances since he was hired. And WKU did the same thing as far as provisions for games when Felton left for Georgia. Note to South Carolina fans: he can't bring Lee, Brazelton and Rogers with him. This might take a while.

he's been to a Sweet 16, so he's a better than average coach... or some of our more idiotic posters would have you believe.

I call it the Stan Heath Syndrome (though I'm sure there are better examples out there)... Heath took a veteran Kent State team to the Elite 8 in his only year as a head coach, yet that somehow qualified him to coach Arkansas. Well, we've seen how well that worked out.
