I recently read an article that the author stated that we are about to experience the great die off of many on the musical legends we all grew up on. As he mentioned most of them are now up in the late 70's and beyond.
Just recently we lost Christie McVie, Jeff Beck and David Crosby.

Sad times.

He's been around. He was an original member of the Byrds back in the mid 60s.

First saw the Byrds at Gvl’s memorial auditorium, nov ‘65.
David was quite unique and given his earlier life choices lucky he made it this long……RIP David
Talk about life choices, what about The Stones and Keith Richards. Will they play into their 90's?

Get used to hearing about music legends dying. The saddest part is; they aren't being replaced.

I’ll argue that the greatest decade of music influence came of the decades of 60’s and or 70’s…….certainly the 65-75 era would be a 10 yr stretch hard to top.

While this is true and is indeed sad, it's reflective of what our entire nation is about to experience, if it is not starting to experience it already. We are about to witness a great diminishing of our population, as the baby boomer generation passes....

I guess it all depends on your age and musical tastes, I much prefer the 70-80 era when the southern rock scene exploded.
