One of two things is about to happen...He's either about to get a CRAZY contract at UW, or he's going to be Bama's HC. Sounds like we should know very soon. He's a midwest guy, so UW going to B1G COULD be a draw for him to stay.

Don't see him as a fit in the SEC, but that's not as important as it used to be I don't think.

In terms of value, he's certainly worth more to UW than Bama.

Deboer has to know UW is going to drop a good bit when Penix leaves. He may want to strike while the iron is hot and he is a hot commodity.

He has shown himself to upwardly mobile, Leaving Sioux Falls after 5 years and Fresno State after only 2 years. Win or lose at Bama, he'll get rich.

Picked up Will Rogers in the portal. He'll be fine at QB.

That's right. I was trying to recall who they picked up at QB but couldn't recall.

So many theories with folks trying to suss out his and Bama's thinking. Is he skittish of taking his offense to the Big 10 after seeing how it performed against Michigan?

Maybe. You have be a dynamic recruiter in the SEC. Simply too many teams with too much talent. Most other conferences have a dramatic drop off after the top 2-3. Not in the SEC. A top 15 class gets you 10th in the SEC. He doesn't strike me as a guy that would embrace that. But who knows.

Did people think NIck Saban was a fit at LSU coming from MIchigan State and spending most of his career up to that point in the MIdwest or Northeast? If a man wins games folks will decide he fits. If he can't he could be be a legacy player and state native and he'll get canned.

Well, like I said, I don't think it's as much of factor as it used to be.

I could say that same thing regarding the boy at LSU right now.
