Kind of a weird one. Both teams are in the playoffs regardless and pretty far from both fanbases. Not terribly surprised.

I realize the SEC is 9 times more, but the relevance of these games seem to be slipping.

Wierd bc there is a lot at stake. A bye to the quarters.

edited: Adam Kramer made a great pint that postseason now requires so much more travel. Fans would rather go to a playoff game.

All these teams are in the playoffs, and may go deep, i’d save my powder for the playoffs.
They are playing for a bye, so there's still something there to play for.

The real debate is if the playoff rules should be as they are. But for 2024, it's reality. Of course, you still may get screwed because we all realize playing Boise is a cakewalk. The seeding is bullshlt.

The second round of the playoff should be at the home stadiums as well, but the bowls would never allow it.

Will be interesting to see how the attendance numbers work out, a fan of the winning team could have traveled to the conference championship game, 2 bowl games, and the national championship game.
