I hope all our commits stick. Wonder if Rosebowl's reported it yet (know he would probably hate to be scooped by Yancy). Seems like Thames had a very impressive championship game, but I don't remember the particulars.

Edited to say, looks like Yancy scooped Rosebowl just going by the free board & front page.

but the thread has been removed by the spirit.

Edited to say: It looks like Yancy is trying to pull a fast one for the Bulldog "lurkers" on his board. Nice journalism there. You know we are kicking their *** in recruiting when **** like this is being pulled. ****.

this is what Yancy said

<div class="messagebody"> I just got off the phone with Clayton Moore, and he told me that it was all a joke about Dennis Thames committing to MSU.

Clayton Moore called my source and told him that Dennis had just committed to MSU just messing with him, and in return, my source called me telling me that Dennis had just committed to MSU.

It is true that Dennis went over to their practice today with his head coach, but he did not commit.

We are sorry for the misinformation, as it looks like Clayton just "punked" my source, and in return, we got "punked". </div>

That source is probably the same person that said that John Cohen "wrecked" the Kentucky baseball program and it will be in shambles because of the percentage of money on scholarships he offers. Probably the same source that told him that Ole Miss will get ANY Mississippi baseball player they want, unless MSU offers more money.

Derek Pegues is going to be a Rebel, stop worrying guys.
Robert Elliot is not going to MSU.
Look for Co-Eric Riley to commit to UT in the next couple of days.

I guess that's his way of saying, "I look like a tool for not confirming this first."</p>

...mucking around with the recruitment of another top prospect. Then... I haven't seen much to suggest Nutt cares about recruiting at all.

which is BDJ as they have been spot-on without jumping the gun so far, Thames hasn't committed yet but might very soon. So connecting the dots, he probably told Moore that, in confedentiality (as recruits are known to do sometimes), and Moore spilled the beans. Maybe accidental, maybe not. Maybe Houston Nutt planned it to go all Les-Miles-to-Michigan on us.
Anyway, Thames supposedly might commit to us soon, and also supposedly is coming here for the scrimmage saturday, soooo... could be a good weekend.
