Of course not. It has to do with playing time and opportunity to shine. A prep at ANY level will care nothing at all about a singular incident that takes place before they possibly join a squad, that has very little to do with anything - with them OR with anything else. It was a stupid little shoving fit that got blown all out of proportion, that happens very often in MBB and yet gets only a fraction of attention that this one got.
Strong wants to go to a program that NEEDS her the most - this means, that will give her the best opportunity on a very successful program to become a LEADER at the highest stages from the moment she steps on a court for them. That won't be the case at USC like it will be for those other programs. And we've had other star players that we were in the mix for in the past, that chose to go to other programs for the exact same reason, who ended up looking up at our program in terms of national rankings, successes, and championship opportunities.
Both those 3 remaining programs are longtime successful programs that are on the cusp of being a top 10 program - or are already there - who either desperately NEED a big presence on the roster, or who have big presences on the roster but they are not stepping up. South Carolina already have several big presences on the roster who ARE stepping up and have already become leaders, as well as two incoming who are expected to take roles similar to what Strong would take. She is probably being told that her story at South Carolina may possibly end up similar to Sania Feagin's story thus far, and that is turning her off from us......
