Did the refs miss a backcourt on KY?

Looked like it from where I was and at a critical point of the game too. If so, in fairness to the terrible refs almost impossible to easily see a backcourt in the middle of the court based on the way the logo is done. If I made my living on defensive pressure I’d want the boundaries clearly defined.

The TV guys talked about it. Only half of the KY player's body was across the half court line before he reversed & went behind the line. For it to be a back court violation, his entire body would've need to be across

We sit at half court in the upper deck so had a really good vantage point. He wasn’t all the way across the line but it wasn’t by much.

You’d think you wouldn’t be allowed to have a logo that disrupts the half court line.

Lots of schools have bigger logos than we do. It doesn’t interrupt the line. The line goes through the logo, it’s just a lot harder to see. A couple weeks ago, Kansas got called for a backcourt violation in the final minute that contributed to a loss to West Virginia. Replays showed it wasn’t a backcourt, but the line going through the giant Jayhawk logo was so hard to see, it’s hard to blame the ref for missing the call.

They missed a lot more than just that. Always do, but it never matters.
