Age old question each season so what say you?
I wasn't able to watch the game other then in bits and pieces. Also, I did see the BG right tackle actually tackle #11 - Abdul Carter several times and not get called.

The BG QB looked like Joe Montana the first half, but PSU adjusted. Noon game.

On a week where other schools LOST to similar teams, only the penalties really stand out to me. The INT was a one off imo.

I did: I improved my quality, quantity and creative using of swearing at the t.v. 100 percent from week 1 to week 2. My swear jar has been swapped out for a swear bathtub.....
Because of this, I almost always watch games alone. Around mid-way through the second quarter, my border collie left the room as he often does during games like this. Even he doesn't want to be around me. They're intelligent dogs.

I think Bowling Green would beat WVU to be honest. They had a solid offensive game plan and played side to side with quick outs before dialing up longer passes. Winston and Rojas out for a big chunk of the game hurt too.

Mixed bag. Improved some areas others took a step back. For the step back a big chunk of that in my thinking is that coming off a big win on the road against West Virginia it was emotionally hard to get up for BG. Why we saw a slow first half and second half the team woke up most likely after some coaches yelling at halftime. Plus I do have to give BG some credit. They came to play. Their QB was SEC rookie of the year. He can play.

I absolutely agree with this. I did not think that WVU team was as good as last years and BG was better much better.
It will be interesting to see how they do against Texas A&M they should have their #1 RB back.

Psu should create film of all holding calls against them and then show all the time Carter got held and werenā€™t called. Send it out to media and she if anyone runs with it

As some famous posters here often say, 'We're just lucky to be playing.'

Yes BigUglies,
I was well aware of the intrusions during the game from your original post, Ignatowski šŸ˜‰

Saturday's game was the first game I attended in the last 2 years. The Big Uglies are usually in our section when they are on the east side of the stadium.

Saturday two dudes dressed in costumes like Gene Simmons, platform shoes, red cape, faces painted similar to below pics. I'd swear they stood around 7 feet tall.

Have they been at the games in the past years?

We may not have improved, but the BG game taught us some invaluable lessons early in the season. These types of games are best experienced early in the season.

You are falling into the classic trap of over reaction to one game. A decent portion of my early CFB bets are on teams that looked like crap the prior week because the line is often skewed by overreactions (or against teams that looked good).

WVU would be favored by at least 2 TDs over BG and would win the majority of the games in a large sample size.

Absolutely! By nature we learn through negative interactions and there were plenty of those in the 1st half. The growth however was seen in the 2nd half and will continue to pay dividends into the future. We got a little exposed and now we know more about ourselves than we did before. Better to learn in a tight win against BG than in a loss to a B1G opponent.

Also, it looked to me that BG was a very physically mature team with lots of upper classman. They looked like a B10 team. Same thing for NIL. Due to covid there's a lot of men playing against 18-19 year old kids.
