Dude didn’t have nice things to say about their offense. Called it “basic” and he “didn’t want to do what they do”.
Still can’t see that he isn’t that good.

First year he was better than their current savior. Maybe it was the Streeter effect. One question though….why would you recruit a pro-style QB to run a spread offense? That guy sucked, and we were better off for him having played at Clemson. I wish he stayed and ruined them again this year.
I think this year in Oregon he’s gonna prove it was the coachingFirst year he was better than their current savior. Maybe it was the Streeter effect. One question though….why would you recruit a pro-style QB to run a spread offense?

I wouldn’t describe their offense as spread. I might be wrong. They, and others depend on a mobile qb. He wasn’t thatFirst year he was better than their current savior. Maybe it was the Streeter effect. One question though….why would you recruit a pro-style QB to run a spread offense?
I know Streeter wasn’t there his first year, not sure about the second.Wasn't Streeter the OC for only his second year? Meaning he sucked both full years he played, and only one under Streeter?
But you're right, I remember him playing a couple games well that one year.
I never thought he was good at making decisions, and his accuracy seems to get worse as time goes on. I still wish he stayed, he makes them a worse team.
I hope that he does.I think this year in Oregon he’s gonna prove it was the coaching

Similar to Rattler under Satterfield’s offense? Rattler looked lost at times under Satterfield, he really came into his own the last few games when the play calling looked as though there was actually a game plan. The tutelage and play calling can make a huge difference.I'm not so sure. In the games of theirs that I watched, he just looked like a head case. Rattled easily. Once he made a mistake, he couldn't bounce back.

Streeter was there the entirety of DJ's career at Clempson. He was Deshaun Watson's and Trevor Lawrence's QB coach for both championship years. He was the qb coach from 2015-2021, passing game coordinator from 2020-2021, and OC 2022.Wasn't Streeter the OC for only his second year? Was the coaching drastically different from the last 2 QBs?I think this year in Oregon he’s gonna prove it was the coaching
Well…yea…it was…an OC who had never been an OC before was gifted the reins to the Clemson offense with dj to deal with…watched a podcast on this too…a lot of people think that he is going to do better where he’s going…and lord I know we all wish Fenwick (ex gamecock RB) was in OUR backfield this year…he’ll be taking the load off DJ…the competition isn’t tougher there…and he is a west coast kid…the “fit” is probably just better…happy players play betterWas the coaching drastically different from the last 2 QBs?
I think they had to simplify the offense for DJU. Sometimes you just miss on a guy. Lord knows we have.
Same. I approve of any and all things that make Clemson look badI hope that he does.
Well, the passes he threw against us tells me he was the weak link, at least not a real game time QB. If the offense was that simple he should have been able to deliver the ball better.Well…yea…it was…an OC who had never been an OC before was gifted the reins to the Clemson offense with dj to deal with…watched a podcast on this too…a lot of people think that he is going to do better where he’s going…and lord I know we all wish Fenwick (ex gamecock RB) was in OUR backfield this year…he’ll be taking the load off DJ…the competition isn’t tougher there…and he is a west coast kid…the “fit” is probably just better…happy players play better
I was not a Floyd Mayweather fan, but the dude caught shade from Larry Merchant in every post fight interview, to which Mayweather once responded "Larry Merchant is a commentator, he don't know sh__ about the sport of boxing", which was true. Shipley and Mafah had a year under their belt and they picked up Antonio Williams and the WR from Myrtle Beach....WR room was no-man's land from what I remember, that could have something to do with some of the improvement.Just out out of curiosity, I googled the comparison of their offense from 2021 to 2022. When Streeter took over, it looks like he did improve them, even with DJ still playing qb.

DJ Ugelele (sic), former Clemson and now Oregon QB, talking about Clemson's offense under OC Streeter.Who is DJU and what team are they???

Same in other sports. If you haven't dropped back trying to read coverage and read it the same as your receiver(s) while your brain's eye sees the other guys' jerseys on your side of the line and your mind's eye sees the one(s) your brain's eye doesn't, you're the Larry Merchants of social media.
Oh wow. Nice.Did the Oregon coach fly him over the stadium and tell him, "that's where you'll be throwing TD passes"?![]()
