Also picked up a surprise commitment from Christian Ingram. Had been projected to SoCal.
The name sounds extremely familiar. Was he not committed to us or something like that coming out of high school?
Yep. He was committed to us out of high school but decommitted and ended up at JUCO. Apparently ran into clearinghouse issues. He said at the time he would be a Gamecock once his JUCO time was done, but he ended up committing to MSU before flipping to us.
Huge pickup. Seems like a great way to transition towards more guys in the portal for the front 7. I would assume Hardy is at least a rotational guy right away.
Two questions - one of the them serious......
Did he / they (both players you mentioned) actually *SIGN* on the dotted line yet?
The JUCO guy - how many years of eligibility does he have? 3 - 5? (I assume 2 but with these new rules....)
He was committed to us as part of the 2023 class, so I guess that means he's been JUCO for 2 years? Under current rules, I assume that means he has 2 years. Pending the outcome of the Pavia lawsuit, which I hope fails.
