When was the last time we heard someone might be out due to grades or might not make it on campus as a freshman due to grades?

Grades matter if you're 5-7.

We won't sniff 5 wins, that's for sure. So, no, grades don't matter.

Not that this matters at all but don't you have to have taken a certain percentage of your hours to earn a bachelor's degree from somewhere? If you go to 4 different schools over 4 years how can you graduate?

An education appears not to be a concern for many.

I kind of figure they matter if you want to go to work at Space X for something other than janitor.

School is easier now than it ever has been. There are now plenty of advisors, classes, tutors, etc. that can show you how to score better and stay eligible for whatever you are trying to do. High school especially, and most college majors.

Don't know, but I am guessing you have that backwards. For high school, I suspect what matters more than anything is grade inflation. You have plenty of places that will give high school degrees to people that are functionally illiterate.

For college, I suspect grade inflation is a big part of it still, but with more money riding on everything, they probably do have a lot more advisors/monitors making sure athletes have a plan for what classes they can take when and stay eligible and also making sure athletes are actually attending class when there is a concern with them.
