I don't care if we go 11-1 (my having a sevensome with hot blonde swedish bikini sextuplets is more likely), I will not forgive or overlook this loss. We have too many fans willing to forgive and forget if we beat somebody else (OM, LSU, Bama, etc...) Good teams moving in the right direction do not lose games like this. Damn, everything good that has happened since the Liberty Bowl has been washed away in one night, one game. Nobody should be able to find solice in anything about this loss, including the ever popular "well if we beat...." scenario. We looked like **** in every aspect of the game from COACHING to our not so special teams. Our offense is a joke, plain and simple. Our defense is going to be in trouble without Ellis Johnson (a much greater loss than any player kicked off the team or suspended).
This game answered a lingering question in the minds of many MSU fans.... Was last year real or a series of fortunate events that propelled us somewhere we may not have deserved to be..... Hmmm.... What many have said about "lucky" bounces and the d winning games must now be honestly considered. Our offense is abysmal...aGAIN... and we aren't going to be able to rely on our defense to bail us out repeatedly.
Bottom line.... If you are not very concerned about what happened on the field last night its due to one of a few things:
1. You really don't care about W's and L's when it comes to MSU football
2. You really don't care about W's and L's period
3. You have no clue about football, its dos and don'ts, its simplicity, and its complexity
4. You believe Croom and staff is as good as we can get at MSU
To close out my rant (sorry folks), I place this loss on the shoulders of our coaches, particulary Croom, and our coordinators. We were not prepared, were were sloppy, undisciplined, unmotivated and even confused... It was embarrasing and there is no silver lining. What started so promising with lots of hype and excitement has been turned on its head. I can handle losses, its part of competition. I just can't accept and understand losses like this.... We have talent, its just being wasted.
