I consider it one of the worst movies I have ever seen, but that’s just me. 
I’m not sure what to label it-other than a movie that I sat through once but would never watch it again.

Well, that’s just like your opinion, man.
Watch it again. First time it didn’t really hit me either. Second time, I couldn’t breathe the entire movie.
Same for 28 days later (I know, completely different genre)…but the 2nd time I watched it. Wow.

Because the movie's plot doesn't revolve around their bowling accomplishments or failures I do not consider it a sports movie. Think about this you never actually see them bowling in competition, celebrate a win or curse a defeat.
The Cohen brothers brand of humor is not for everybody. Some people just don’t get the satire. It a matter of I-n-t-e-l-l-i-g-e-n-c-e, I am assuming.

I don’t know what it is.. but when he is driving along and hitting the roof while listening to creedence, sees the car following him in the rear view, and then crashes out gets me absolutely cracked up every time I see it. I don’t even understand why.
its an awesome movie. John Goodman is great in it.

This. You have to watch it twice. I think it's because the plot is so convoluted that you are distracted the first time by trying to figure out what is going on. The second time you realize the plot has nothing to do with it and you can just enjoy.
