So you want only students at the game...
Our alums do NOT get fired up like that, and outside of a few marquee matchups, the students don't show either, and definitely not with that energy.
I wish though. 40 years and it's pretty much the same. I can still hear "sit down". Only one game do I recall being able to stand all/most game without being whined at.

you should have been at the Hump for the "Who Dat" game. MSU vs Alcorn Nit game.. Hump was rocking and bottles flying.
I mean let’s not pretend our fan support hasn’t come a long way under Jans. We sold out 7 of 9 SEC games last year after not having 5 sellouts combined in the previous decade. And there were some really good atmospheres baked into that. I’m not saying we’ve got the best of the best but we’ve definitely started showing up for basketball again.
First step is getting rid of the empty corporate seats that take place center aisles EVERY FREAKING GAME!

Wrong. Our students have done their part this year. They show up when there is incentive to do so. The only time since the late 80s (that I can actually remember) when that wasn't true was the Howland 'up' years of 2019 and 2020, and hell can you blame them? Loaferz had saddled us with Ray and Howland was the most unenergetic m17er alive, and always lost the big game. But, he was competent and stabilized the program, I'll give him that, and the students didn't really show up much for it.
Anyway, I agree that our adult fans are the problem, in multiple ways.

the students showed last year for every SEC game with plenty of energy. No doubt about it.
I could not sit down watching that game. I was in Texas watching on TV. That was a thing of beauty. Complete whoopin of the buttocks.
