I have talked to alot of MSU fans (outside of this board) and none, absolutely none, have said that they want Raffo as our head coach. This is coming from blue hairs and recent grads. Is there any chance at all that Raffo would step aside for the good of the school and remove his name from consideration?

Polk, Raffo, his wife, mother, KB21, and Hubdog.

So, basically the mans family and three nuts.

I have not heard anyone speak in his favor outside of Polk. This will be the perfect test to see if our AD is connected to the overall fan base.

seemed a little upset when I said that I hoped Cohen would be our next coach.
She said, "You don't want Tommny Raffo?"
I said, "No. What, do you know him or something?"
"No, but I really like his wife."
"Good reason."

So, he's got that going for him.

well, I think Hubdawg is someone close to the athletics program. He works some games and does stats or something like that. He probably knows Raffo on a personal level, so you can rule out what he says. I usually agree with Hub, except for the Raffo stuff.

He would be a great hire for MSU, and I am totally behind MSU hiring him.

Hiring someone so unproven like Cohen, or a sleeper cell like McDonnell would be a huge mistake.

HIRE TOMMY RAFFO</p>

As you know, I read the pack daily and think you guys are on top of everything.

However, I have not once stated that I support Tommy Raffo.

Yes, I am a supporter of Coach Polk and yes I am very proud that he is the head baseball coach at MSU.

I have my own thoughts about the replacement --- when I was in school and worked for Coach Polk, John Cohen was my neighbor on my left and Tommy Raffo was my neighbor on my right

I am in very difficult position with this coaching change - so thus, I have not publically commented - I have not had a comment for or against Cohen and I have not had a post for or against Raffo

I have commented on the 2008 season, the injuries, the young pitchers, the double players, etc --- however, I have been most careful in my commenting about the future of the baseball program

I have my short list of who I would like to see be called about the job -- these list does include three names with MSU connections who are presently not with the program -- however, it is not really wise for me to state these names at the moment
