One of the best things about Pittsburgh and surrounding area is that so many church's had them. I can't seem to find them around here. Any help would be welcomed.

I was baptized a Roman Catholic and spent 12 years in Catholic Schools...I had a cheeseburger for lunch. Took a while for all the brain washing to wear off. I can still go to a mass and recite it word for word(except they change a few things in the past 15 years since I gave up being a catholic). Actually, according to my Senior Year Religion Teacher(who was great), once a catholic always a catholic but now just a bad catholic. I know a lot of people still go to the Malvern Retreat house in that area, maybe they have one?

They are not nearly as popular in SE PA as they are in Western or Central PA. Plus, the pandemic caused many churches to stop holding the events (or put them on hiatus).

St. Mary Catholic Church, in Schwenksville, is holding them this year - every Friday during Lent, from 4 pm - 7 pm. You have the option of sit down dining or take out.

Schwenksville isn't right around the corner from Malvern, but it's not an unreasonable drive.

@TheBigUglies -- the Malvern Retreat House does not have public fish fries during Lent.

Me too, a bad Catholic, even though my father had a priest and a nun as siblings.

If you're really desperate, come up to Berks and rob a store on camera. In a day or so they'll pick you up and bring you up to the jail. We serve fish every Friday!
