I usually don't complain about who we recruit- heck, I defended recruiting a snapper over a QB a time or two, but it seems like all we ever get are DE's. How many did we sign last year? 4-5?

We better have good depth at DE.

Well some become DT's and some could eventually move to OL possibly.

I think the big thing is that having having two DE's that are pass rushing threats can help make you a dominating defense. If you can find at least one rush end, a good MLB and one good corner, you're in good shape. Look at how many plays Titus disrupted last year? I'm not sure we have that same kind of player right now...some of the freshman might be but who knows. It's a position you can stockpile b/c of the ability to move them to other spots.

With his size, my bet is he'll be at DT his sophomore year unless he has some serious speed to come off a corner.

However, several (2 or 3) of our DEs we signed last year didnt qualify... I know Jazzman Guy didn't...

Tim Bailey will graduate this year and if i am not mistaken i think jimmie holmes was a JUCO transfer and if thats the case then he will either graduate this year or next year.
The thing that sucks about JUCOs is that they are immediate impact as soon as they step on the field but are gone before you can learn their first name, a good example (Dominic Douglas)

supposedly this kid is legit..we are gonna lose are two probable starting d-ends next year and neither is supposed to be a great pass rusher so he seems like a good pickup...he had a great combine and it improved his stock greatly...now we just got to keep him if Arkansas comes calling

He'll recruit DB's and DE's and move them to LB and DT, respectively. He wants speed on the field. That's why Quinton Culbertson became a LB and Titus Brown became a DE.

He's gotten good results from doing it like that, but I'd like to see him get a couple of 350 lb. fatbodies to clog up the middle on rushing downs.
