Found this in the minutes of the IHL while looking for another item. Project cost increased from 400k.

From the October 19 minutes - "
MSU – Approved the request to increase the project budget for IHL 413-003, Dorman Hall
Renovation, from $400,000 to $32,910,000 for an increase of $32,510,000. The Board
approved the request to add SB 2971, Laws of 2021; HB 1353, Laws of 2022; HB 603,
Laws of 2023; and MSU Designated Funds to allow for this increase. The Board also
approved the exterior design of the building. The rendering is included in the bound
October 19, 2023 Board Working File. This project will provide repair/renovations and
capital improvements to Dorman Hall which includes HVAC renovations, ADA
improvements, along with interior and exterior upgrades. Funds are available from HB
1730, Laws of 2020 ($400,000); SB 2971, Laws of 2021 ($8,000,000); HB 1353, Laws of
2022 ($9,610,000); HB 603, Laws of 2023 ($14,300,000); and MSU Designated Funds
($1,600,000)."

Is this for the new Azalea Hall being contructed or is that a Totally different/new dorm?

I see construction of Azalea Hall is estimated at $96m. So if $265 is approved for both projects, I assume a new dorm would cost in that range and leave $165-180m to DWS? Big assumption I'm sure.

Probably Azalea Hall - haven't seen any other new dorm proposed. They can always come back for more for DWS once they get the new ideas Selmon says he is waiting to receive. Can also use other funding to add to the renovation.
