Final
St. Edward 41
Medina 6

St Eds must've had one helluva game plan on Defense to hold DA and the Medina Offense to 6 points

that is surprising.

BTW - if any of you know Ohio playoff football, didn't Sean Clifford play for Cincy St Xavier and beat St Eds in the finals, and he was injured? I may have that wrong, but anyone who knows please correct.

Some observations. At Ed’s is a perennial power that takes recruiting to a whole. We level with many host family’s. They are very big and well coached. They have a 6’-5” 310 # tackle that is a sophomore. Big lines very fast running back and qb is going to West Virginia. Medina defense is awful. They were getting gashed with 15 yard runs regularly. Medina has no running back and runs an empty set. Ed’s only rushed 3 and still had allar running for his life. Lot of dropped balls for medina but allar was frustrated and did not play particularly well. Interceptions were all tipped balls. Very hard to compete in Ohio with the privates.

A menacing pass rush can make any QB look ordinary. We've seen it done to Brady (vs Giants). If PSU doesn't get the OL fixed Allar will be no different than Cliff.

marshall23 makes an excellent point. Look at Barkley's performance or lack thereof which can be attributed to a poor OL. Also, Patrick Mahomes who has gone from a super hero to a QB running to save his life because of a poor OL.

I worry that those who think that a combination of Allar and Singleton will provide an instant fix to the offense are going to be disappointed. A substantial improvement to the OL is also required and that will take time.

The offensive line is literally Everything in getting this team stable(and healthy) again. If I was Franklin, id bring in 10 of them in the transfer portal and simply say, "those that win the most one on one matchups in practice play, the rest can portal out" sorry. Losing one on one battles against OSU and Michigan is going to happen, but if we March out a line that can't pick up 2 yards against Villanova again next year, I dont give a damn who the QB and RBs are.
