Crazy. Happy for Sampson. Really wish Flagg would come back for another year. I know that’s not happening. K-nipple needs to come back, but I bet he leaves as well.

When you’re up 6 with the ball with a minute left, it’s really on you if you lose. Credit to Houston for not quitting, but a good coach does not squander that lead.
I’m guessing every coach that ever roamed the sidelines has seen that happen at some point.

I changed the channel with a few minutes to go. I just watched the final 3:30 recap. Unreal Duke blew it.

Honestly Duke’s lack of a true PG and coaching inexperience really turned up in that game. Walter Clayton Jr. wins that game. You need confident ball handlers and clutch shooters in those situations and he’s both. I think Gators roll Monday.

Almost like the opposite of the Houston/NC State game where Houston gave away a huge lead to Jimmy V and friends.

I am surprised at how many times I see teams not able to get the ball in play after a made bucket. To me that is just bad preparations. It seems teams are free lancing and not running an inbound play. No excuse.

Duke's youth showed in the last 2 minutes, IMHO. No matter how good Flagg and Knuepel are, they are freshmen, and Houston is full of upperclassmen. Flagg's last shot was a fall away - someone with more experience would have kept going toward the hoop and tried to initiate contact instead of falling away from it. But maybe that's just me.
