That was my thought and post as soon as Jimbo was fired.
There's history with the team and the BOT and he's affordable.

There is talk on TAM board wishing that Petrino and Robinson are retained.

Underwhelming hiring.
Certainly risky. He had a 9-win season at Duke last year. 7 wins this year. But it's Duke. If you can build a winner there, you stand a pretty good shot anywhere. But he's only got a 2-year body of work.

I think of Sumlin. He seemed like a can't miss guy, headed inexorably toward the penthouse. He would up on the ash heap.

There just aren't that many generational coaches out there and some places require that, no matter how big they are or how much money they have. And then, there's the matter of "fit".
