the Cowgirls have lost today, so it's already a good day for Birds fans.
I hope settling for that FG before the half doesn’t haunt the Birds. This game feels like a last possession winner situation.
That 1st and 15 for LA summed things. They ran an easy misdirection pass for 11 yards. The Eagles weren’t even close. So 2nd and 4. A first down likely wins it.
That last drive was a microcosm of this team and season. They don’t have enough talent, leadership or coaching. They’re short everywhere.4th & inches, with 1:45 left, and the Chargers try to get the Birds D to jump, but that doesn't happen. I believe it would be a 45-yard FG. Chargers are going for it ... ball game here .., and Herbert gets it on a QB sneak. Birds have no TOs left.
Geez, Chargers RB runs it to the 11 (or there about). Chargers nail a 29-yard FG with 2 sec left, 24-27.
Nick is a major problem. This franchise is the blind leading the blind.Nick’s got this.

Quit dreaming Howie ain’t getting the axe. Jointed at the hip with JeffreyThat last drive was a microcosm of this team and season. They don’t have enough talent, leadership or coaching. They’re short everywhere.
The only silver lining is that is Howie is ever going to get the axe, this kind of hopeless season would force it.
What a nice game Smith is having. Thank goodness he’s there to offset Barnett and Reagor for Howie.
That’s the Eagles entire season. They’ve allowed 80%+ completion rate at least three times now. I don’t know what Gannon is doing.Herbert was 32 of 38 on the game.
I know CB Slay went out with a hamstring injury, and Herbert is a nice young QB. But no NFL D should allow a QB to be 32 of 38, unless he's throwing passes of 5 or less yards.
Howie can’t miss on several years worth of picks, hit on one promising high pick and then exonerate himself for years of failure. It won’t happen. This is their trust the process year. They’re stockpiling draft picks for next year’s draft and before you pick on HW, #6 is playing really well for them. It was a good pick. I think Hurts is improving as well but their defense is just too soft to hold a lead.

the one thing you are missing on the O? a QB. Hurts aint it.It's a grift. Spend 7-8 years taking leaps on draft picks, then 1 year draft a cant-miss. then back to 7-8 years taking a flier then 1 year take the can't miss. however i wouldn't say that his misses, outside of marcus smith and danny watkins, no one else has really been a big bust. not compared to those 2 anyway. Aghlor had a good year or 2. Wentz was looking great until his injury stretch. Barnett has had flashes. Dillard and Reagor, to me, still have yet to be determined. I understand they're not living up to sky-high round 1 expectations, but compared to Watkins and Smith, i'd argue they're far outplaying that floor. well... outside of Dillard.
Danny Watkins - bad bad bust
Fletch - duh
Lane - duh
Marcus Smith - huh? bad miss, everyone agreed
Nelson Aghlor - had potential. rated highly. not a bad miss, but a miss
Wentz - rated highly. not a bad miss, but a miss
Barnett - came into the draft with length and tool issues
-
Dillard - came into the draft with run game issues. still don't consider this a miss due to injuries so far
Reagor - reach. no other way to look at this.
Smith - duh
I'd LOVE to see howie get 3 first rounders and go D on all of them. a S, a LB and a DE/DT. I think the OL is fine, with Mailata/Dickerson/Seumalo/Herbig/Driscoll is your OL of the future, Booby at RB, Goedert at TE, Quez at the X, Smith at the Y and Reagor in the slot. I think that's your future O. all young, all are looking good. on D, you need help... A LOT of help.
