please use this thread for pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion about the Eagles - Chiefs game in Super Bowl LVII.

I was nervous as hell 5 years ago, when the Birds played in Super Bowl LII. It was Nick Foles against Tom Brady -- how could a Birds' fan not be nervous? This time, it's kind of weird, with the Birds being the favorite. I haven't experienced that since Super Bowl XV, and the Birds lost that Super Bowl to the Raiders. It's also been weird to listen to Philadelphia sports talk over the past 2 weeks. For Super Bowl LII, fans had the dog masks, and songs about how nobody liked us, and we didn't care. Now the fans, as well as the analysts, are almost in agreement that the Birds are the better team, and too many of them (IMHO) seem to think it will be a pretty easy game. (I should note that Jeff McLane, the Philadelphia Inquirer's main beat reporter for the Eagles did pick the Chiefs to win by 1 point, but it's hard to find similar sentiments or predictions by reporters or fans.)

So how will the game play out? I haven't a clue. I like the Birds chances and certainly hope to be celebrating at the end of the game.

Go Birds!!!

my buddy at the game reports that of those wearing Birds or Chiefs gear, it looks to be about a 50-50 mix.

lol, Birds' fans don't disappoint -- they boo Dak Prescott when he receives the Walter Payton man of the year award from the NFL. Congrats Dak, but you can't expect Birds' fans to cheer for a Cowboy.

Nick Sirianni got caught up in the moment of the Star Spangled Banner. Tears running down his face.

Babyface and Chris Stapleton were outstanding.

hmm, Birds have been winning a lot of the coin tosses this year, but they didn't win today's. The Chiefs win and they defer. Birds will start on O.
