The timing is bad for them. They might be saving practices because of limitations on time/hours of practice.

NIL has Coaches and Players jumping all over the place and Beamer hiring a coach who obviously wants to be here is a ''stunt''?
Wah, wah….. in this new age of nil and wide-open transfer portal madness, the players have all the power/leverage. I don’t feel badly for them any longer.

Coaches need to be more inventive in developing oppressiveness. They've fallen way behind.
In Hollywood, there's controversy over young actors and actresses who are children of famous actors and actresses getting roles only because they are children of famous parents. They are referred to as "Nepo Babies". Some might say that Beamer is a "Nepo Baby".
I actually ran into a very large Ga State football player in a hotel that I am staying at in TN about a week or so ago (before this went down) - and I actually asked about his coach and the player noted that he loved Shawn Elliot as his former coach. I think he was training for the draft.
