The only difference in these is that for the last bid, 8 have South Carolina, 4 have Miami, and 1 has Alabama.

I could see South Carolina maybe getting in over Alabama (though the committee has historically placed a high value on head-to-head results), but I can't imagine Miami getting in at all. They have no notable wins and should be 8-4 if the refs didn't screw up at the end of 2 games.

I really think it’s Alabama vs Miami for the last spot, with an edge to Bama. South Carolina is getting hyped, but they haven’t won any good games other than Clemson, they’ve lost head to head against two teams they’re competing with for the last spot, and their “momentum” is primarily due to playing ****** teams late in the year.

If I had to rank likelihood, it’d be Bama > Miami > Ole Miss > South Carolina, but Vegas clearly disagrees with me, so I’m probably wrong

A lot of those projections have South Carolina in the playoffs. The meltdown on the plantation will be glorious if this happens!

That was a lot of second mortgages just to win the Egg Bowl.

Clemson may beat SMU and that would end all the Bama/SC/Miami/OM speculation. Or UNLV over Boise, or Iowa State over Zona State. Guarantee that one of those 3 will happen.

Geez it’s so obvious that the playoff should be 16 with no stupid byes and no home games. You can easily find 14 neutral sites bowls for the games, then obviously game 15 is the championship.

Boise is only in with a win, so the Mountain West championship game shouldn’t affect anyone but those two teams.

I think Clemson will beat SMU & take the ACC only bid. Won’t matter though. All 3 of those are 1-bid conferences. Alabama is in. South Carolina almost certainly out.

Oregon
Texas
Boise
Arizona St
Notre Dame
Tennessee
Ohio St
Penn St
Georgia
Indiana
Alabama

also, we need more home games not fewer. Bowl games are a relic & will die off. All playoff games through the semifinals will ultimately be at home. The championship game will be bid out like the Super Bowl is.

So the ACC is like SWAC in March Madness?*****
