OM a bottom 20 team. Oh, I wish it were true. But, that's just not a very good assessment.

Well, now that I see that GA is on the list, I am not sure this is intended to be anything buck shock journalism. So, I guess it is not intended to list the bottom 10 or 20 teams.

So, never mind.

He saves the number five spot every week for a team that embarassed themselves the week before, such as USC when they lost to Stanford or Bama when they lost to Monroe. Since the season hasn't started yet, he put UGA there since they've embarassed themselves with all of the trouble their players have gotten into.

As far as Ole Miss goes, they went winless in the conference last year, so he has them there ready to be put in IF they continue to lose every game in conference. I don't think he intends it as a predictive thing, really. The list is just meant for entertainment value, and I can't believe I took this much time to talk about it.

C-USA is seriously challenging the Sun Belt and WAC for the worst D-1A conference. It has gotten bad. I still don't see how that conference has 6 bowl tie ins. That's just ridiculous. For that matter, one of C-USA's bowl teams last year, Memphis, was 0-3 against the Sun Belt last year. There aren't many D-1 teams that can claim something like that and still claim a bowl appearance.

some of their tie-ins. I'm sure that most of those are because C-USA used to be pretty decent back in the day, with people like Louisville. Now everyone in that conference is basically praying that they get taken in by the Big East.

all 4 cusa teams. Rebel Bruiser is right, the quality of the conference is bad and getting worse.

thing about the entertainment value. That makes sense given the list.

But, if OM still goes winless in the conference this entire year, I probably still wouldn't put them in the bottom 10 strictly based on that fact. It does make that placement more likely, though.

I don't think the conference had that many tie ins back when they still had Louisville, Cincinnati, etc. Back then I believe they only had 4 tie ins. They've added a 5th, and I believe the 6th tie in was added prior to the 2007 season.

I doubt they lose too many tie ins unless bowls start folding. The main reason they have so many tie ins is because there are 30+ bowl games, and the bowls need to guarantee that they'll actually have a team to play in their game.

C-USA is reaching a whole new level of suckitude though. Outside of a few quality baseball teams, Memphis in basketball, and a rising UCF football program, they really have absolutely nothing to write home about. It's really an awful conference.

Shouldn't we be happy to see OM in the bottom 20 regardless? This thing about not being too homerish is going too far. They went 0-8 in their conference. That deserves endless ridicule from everyone, especially their 3rd biggest rivals after LSU and Arkansas.

knows few boundaries. I can't stand them, or all their damn trial lawyer, Dickie Scruggs blowing big money alumni.

However, I was just making the point that I still don't think they would be one of the worst 10 teams in the nation strictly on going 2 years without an SEC win. Would I like for them to be one of the worst in the nation? Certainly. Hell, I hope they lose every single game this year (although during the Bama vs. OM game I am constantly trying to figure out how both teams can lose.)

celebrating the 0-8 Ole Miss season, especially since we posted a big o-fer not too long ago. It's like laughing at your buddy who went home with a heifer; it's funny at first, but then you realize you've been there and done that yourself.

the heifer home last, so we scoff and ridicule them until WE take her home again.
