I think Stockett was recruiting to simply be a blocking fullback, and as I recall on film he seemed to be ok hitting people. But I had also heard the rumors he spent a ton of time in the bar, didn't study for school or football much. Just didn't appear important to him to be a SEC football player. Although it hurts the APR would rather have guys like that go somewhere else they'll be happy than mope around the locker room.
Mason is hanging on to get his degree, just realized PT probably wasn't going to be there much and would prefer to do other things than get up at 5 a.m. for workouts. Can't blame him there.
